Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team responsible for General Ledger accounting, accounting analysis, accounts reconciliations, and financial reporting and controls;
  • Leading cooperation with Third Party offshore team to ensure high level accounting processes such as Journal Entries preparation and Balance Sheet Reconciliations are delivered on timely manner;
  • Managing month-end-close checklist across multiple countries to ensure that required and expected accounting entries for each country have been calculated, submitted, approved and posted leveraging Trintech tool Close module to facilitate this process;
  • Ability to effectively answer and address accounting treatment questions that arise based on the accounting entries from multiple EMEA countries;
  • Maintaining relationship with Controllers organization across all Aon business lines;
  • Monitoring KPI and improving operational performance;
  • Ongoing training for team members and professional development for colleagues;
  • Identifying and resolving recurring performance problems and improvement opportunities;
  • Leading or participating in working group initiatives related to accounting, collaboration, knowledge sharing and engagement.

Requirements:

  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or SSC/BPO industry;
  • University degree/professional qualification in Finance or Accounting;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS reporting standards;
  • Experience of working in international environment;
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing a team in a fast-changing environment;
  • Transition experience is desirable;
  • Fluent English is a must;
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with good verbal/written communication, interpersonal and organization skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Willing to learn and increase his/ her qualifications;
  • Knowledge of Workday will be an asset;
