For our client – international leading energy technology company – we are looking for Senior Accountant / Financial Controller to join their busy financial team.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting detailed and correct information about the Company’s transactions for the sake of correct fiscal and statutory recording (contact with Financial Center, Sourcing, Payments Team, Sales, external accounting service provider etc.).
- Regular reconciliation of data between general ledgers.
- Preparation and control over number of different reconciliations such as balance sheet accounts, advanced ledger/subledger or STAT to GAAP reconciliations (or giving support to the corporate Finance Team in this task).
- Support to the external accounting services provider in clarifying unclear transactions as well as collecting data necessary for reporting to Main Statistical Office (GUS), NBP, etc.
- Support to external provider in preparing Transfer Pricing documentation.
- Support to tax advisers in CIT tax review by providing explanations about nature of transactions and in all other aspects needed to complete their work.
- Support to Auditors performing statutory audits.
- Support to the Payments Team in reconciliations of unclear items.
- Support internal customers in all accounting related issues (split payment, white list, correct coding for invoices in SAP, cooperation with customs agencies, etc.).
- Setting up or improving necessary financial procedures related with statutory and fiscal reporting.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Experience in accounting operations, taxes and controlling.
- Solid and current knowledge about polish tax law including regulations necessary for the proper performance of operational accounting (such as issuing, accounting and payment of invoices).
- Experience in corporate finance environment.
- Experience in reconciliations of data between different systems and databases.
- Experience in cooperation with financial center and different Company’s departments.
- Experience in coordination of financial activities and preparing internal procedures.
- Experience with corporate grade ERP system such as SAP or other similar.
- Able to work independently and in a very busy environment.
