As a professional in the Valuation area, you’ll ensure that the valuation of Nordea’s assets are correct and in line with the market and you will be given a unique opportunity within the Nordic region to gain in-depth knowledge on the valuation of financial instruments and derivatives.

In the department, we are responsible for the management, adjustment and controlling of the valuation of Nordea’s securities and derivatives in the trading portfolio.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform assigned controls and valuation adjustments calculations in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow-up on controls and valuation adjustment calculations through extensive interaction with internal stakeholders (Trading, IT, Risk organization etc.)
• Managing market data inputs to calculations
• Participate in the continuous development of controls and valuation adjustments by proposing new ideas or increasing efficiency.
• Interact with control departments, regulators and other stakeholders.

Your background:

• You have graduated from a bachelor or a master program in finance, engineering or mathematics (or similar).
• You have 3-4 years of experience from working with fixed income products and derivatives in a valuation, model validation or front office department.
• You have a robust understanding of the valuation of financial instruments and financial derivatives and knowledge of applicable accounting standards and regulation
• You are an excellent Excel user and have a very strong interest in programming (Python, SQL, VBA)
• You have excellent communication skills and speak and write English at a professional level
• You are able reliable and committed during the period of increased workload.
